Established in 2010, Karnali Rafting and Adventure guides have over 13 years of
combined experience leading people down not only the rivers of Nepal but also many
other rivers around the world, including Japan, USA, Dubai, Bangaldesh, Bhutan, Iceland
and Turkey.
Being so long established, this means we always have your safety as our number one
priority. This can be seen in the training and qualifications of all of our guides as well as
the quality of our equipment and how we run the trips.

  • Guides trained in SRT (Swiftwater Rescue Technique)
  • Guides trained to Rescue 3 WRT (Whitewater Rescue Technicians) Certification
  • Guides licensed through IRF (International Rafting Federation)
  • Guides trained in Wilderness First-Aid & CPR
  • Guides obtain NARA (Nepal Association of Rafting Agents) Certification
  • Only top-quality, state-of-the-art equipment is used
  • Only top-quality, state-of-the-art equipment is used
  • Self-bailing rafts of various models, a few being: NRS, AVON and ZEBEC
  • Paddles are heavy duty plastic Carlisle make
  • Helmets and life vests provided and used on every trip (life vests are American Cup and NRS)
  • Safety briefing and training given prior to starting trips
  • Minimum of two safety kayakers per trip
  • First Aid Kits brought along on all trips

Moreover, our guides have good conversational English skills, friendly and engaging personalities and knowledge about the local areas. So, while we can’t guarantee against any accidents or injuries, we do everything we can to minimize the inherent risks involved with these adventure activities. And we ask that you, as a guest, do your part in maintaining a high standard of safety by carefully listening to and following all instructions given by our guides and other staff.
