Schedule Details

Day 1: Kathmandu to Dhangadhi (Flight) – Drive to Dadeldhura

• Take a 1 hr 10 min flight from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi. • Drive 60 km (3 hrs) to Dadeldhura, a scenic hill town. • Overnight at a hotel in Dadeldhura.

Day 2: Drive to Chainpur (Bajhang) – Short Rafting at Tatopani

• Drive 150 km (6 hrs) to Chainpur, Bajhang. • Continue driving to Tatopani Hot Spring. • Enjoy a 2-hour warm-up rafting session on the Seti Karnali River. • Return to Chainpur for an overnight hotel stay.

Day 3: Drive to Deura Bazar – Rafting to Seti Hydropower Dam Site

• Drive 30 km (1 hr) to Deura Bazar. • Prepare lunch and start rafting towards the Seti Hydropower Dam site. • Enjoy exciting class III-IV rapids. • Overnight camping beside the river.

 

Day 4: Rafting to Dipayal Bazar

• Full-day rafting with stunning canyon views and remote landscapes. • Enjoy waves and technical rapids along the way. • Overnight stay at a hotel in Dipayal for guests. Staff stays in camps.

 

Day 5: Rafting to Naridang – Beach Camping

• Raft 6 hours through thrilling class IV rapids. • Overnight camping on a beautiful sandy beach.

Day 6: Rafting to Seti-Budhiganga Confluence – Wilderness Camping

• Navigate more exciting big volume rapids. • Reach the confluence of Seti Karnali and Budhiganga Rivers. • Overnight camping in the wilderness.

Day 7: Rafting to Lode Khola – Adventure Continues

• Paddle through remote jungles and technical rapids. • Reach Lode Khola (a tributary joining Seti Karnali). • Enjoy overnight camping beside the river.

Day 8: Rafting to Seti-Karnali Confluence (Benighat)

• Experience bigger whitewater rapids and continuous wave trains. • Arrive at the Seti-Karnali River confluence at Benighat. • Overnight camping under the stars.

Day 9: Rafting to Tamcha – Red Rock Canyon

Enter the breathtaking Red Rock Canyon with its unique geological formations. • Enjoy remote jungle scenery and challenging rapids. • Overnight camping beside the river.

Day 10: Rest Day – Village Exploration & Cultural Experience

Visit remote villages, interact with locals, and enjoy traditional Tharu & Raji cuisine. • Explore the natural beauty and wildlife around the area. • Overnight camping in a riverside village.

Day 11: Rafting to Bheri-Karnali Confluence

• Continue rafting through remote canyons and enjoy the biggest rapids of the trip. • Reach the Bheri-Karnali River confluence. • Overnight camping at a scenic riverside location.

Day 12: Final Day of Rafting – Chisapani & Drive to Bardia/Nepalgunj

• Paddle towards Chisapani, Karnali, the endpoint of the rafting expedition. • Enjoy lunch at Chisapani, then drive to Bardia National Park (for jungle safari) or Nepalgunj Airport. • Overnight stay at a hotel in Bardia or Nepalgunj.

Day 13: Fly Back to Kathmandu

• Drive to Nepalgunj Airport (if staying in Bardia). • Take a 1-hour flight back to Kathmandu. • Tour ends in Kathmandu.
